Marion High School in southern Illinois will be closed Wednesday after bedbugs were found in some of the school's classrooms.

The school said Tuesday night in a Facebook post that classes would not be in session, and that they are having the building professionally inspected and treated as necessary.

The post goes on to say school officials believe the infestation to be isolated to two classrooms at this time. They apologized for the inconvenience and thanked students and parents for their patience and understanding, and said they will update them with a follow up call.

The Lady Wildcats girls basketball tournament has been going on there this week, but Wednesday night's session of games will be held at Herrin High School.
