A former athletic trainer at Massac County High School has been charged with sexual assault and abuse.

The Massac County Circuit Court Clerk's Office says Felicia Williams-Watson has been charged with four counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The charges stem from alleged sexual relationships with two male students at the school, ages 15 and 17.

Massac County States Attorney Patrick Windhorst told West Kentucky Star that charges were filed Friday and Williams-Watson turned herself in on Saturday. Bond was set at $25,000 and she was released after posting 10 percent.

Her first appearance in court will be at 1 pm on June 7, where she will be advised of her charges and rights. They will also discuss her legal representation. Windhorst said evidence will be presented at a later hearing before the judge, who will determine if a trial should be scheduled.

Massac County Schools Superintendent Jason Hayes said the school immediately contacted the Department of Children and Family Services upon hearing the allegations more than two months ago. He said the alleged incident did not happen at the school, and they are cooperating with the investigation.

Greg Thompson, CEO of the Orthopaedic Institute of Paducah, told West Kentucky Star that Watson worked at their office and they received a letter on February 20 about the alleged relationship, during which the student had reportedly spent the night at her home. Thompson said Williams-Watson was fired the following day.
