A Metropolis couple were arrested after a domestic disturbance call.
According to Metropolis Police, officers responded Thursday to a home on Walter Drive and spoke to John Snyder, who reportedly had injuries to his face. He said he got into an argument with his girlfriend, whom he identifed as Lisa Hood from Alabama. Police say the officers had been to this home several times for domestic issues, and this was not the name of the woman they knew.
When officers spoke to the woman, she was hiding her face, but when she stepped into a lighted area they reportedly recognized her as 27-year-old Megan J. Bolin. The woman repeatedly claimed her name was the one Snyder had given to police, but Bolin finally admitted she was lying to avoid being arrested on a warrant. A computer check on Bolin, who also had facial injuries, revealed she was wanted on a domestic battery warrant. Snyder told officers he lied about Bolin's identity because she told him to do it.
Snyder and Bolin were both arrested for domestic battery. Snyder was also charged with obstructing justice. Bolin was charged with the warrant and for obstructing her identity. They were taken to Massac County Jail.
