CAVE-IN-ROCK - UPDATE:

The Cave-in-Rock Ferry has resumed operations as of 5:00 pm this afternoon.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports that the winds that had temporarily caused the closure have subsided sufficiently to allow safe
operation of the ferry.

High Winds have forced the temporary closure of the Cave-in-Rock Ferry 

The ferry halted operations after making a run from the Kentucky landing about 1:15 pm, due to winds of 18 mph, with gusts to 25 mph.
