9 People Face Drug, Gun Charges in Massac County

The Illinois State Police and Southern Illinois Drug Task Force have arrested nine people for offenses related to illegal drug distribution in Massac County.

Those arrested and their charges include 44-year-old Glenda A. Cozzie, of Metropolis, for delivery of methamphetamine; 19-year-old Cody L. Durrett, of Metropolis, for delivery of methamphetamine; 24-year-old Blake A. Lynch, of Metropolis, for delivery of a controlled substance; 56-year-old Ray G. Lee, of Metropolis, for delivery of a controlled substance; 27-year-old Jeremy L. Lynch, of Metropolis, for possession of a weapon by a felon; 27-year-old Jeremy M. Goins, of Metropolis, for delivery of a controlled substance; 20-year-old Austin L. Cherry, of Metropolis, for delivery of a controlled substance; 19-year-old Austin W. Little, of Metropolis, for delivery of methamphetamine, and 47-year-old Melissa M. Skinner, of Metropolis, for delivery of a controlled substance.

Police say further arrests are anticipated. 

The task force is comprised of membership from the Massac County Sheriff’s Department, The Massac County States Attorney’s office, Metropolis Police Department, Hardin County Sheriff’s Department, Hardin County States Attorneys’ Office, and the Illinois State Police.
