Southeast Asian hydropower delegation visits Kentucky Lake this week

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host a delegation from southeast Asia to tour American riverport and hydropower facilities including the Kentucky Lake lock and TVA powerhouse.

The visit this week includes leaders and experts from Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia as part of the Mekong Sister Rivers partnership exchange. The goal is to strengthen international cooperation in sustainable water and resource management.

The delegation will also tour the New York City boat harbor and marine terminal.

The Sister Rivers partnership, also under the cooperation of the Mississippi River Commission, was first established in 2010.
