An indictment from the Caldwell County Grand Jury alleges a former employee of the Public Defender's Office submitted false travel vouchers and took the money.

A grand jury accused Jacqualine Nichole White of Princeton of submitting 59 false travel vouchers over eight months and taking over $7,000 in fraudulent payments.

WPKY reported that White was an administrative assistant and is said to have unlawfully used state computers to submit the vouchers. White is also accused of forging the name of a supervisor in approving the travel payments.

White was indicted on charges of official misconduct, forgery, unlawful access to a computer, and theft by deception under $10,000.
