Power outage planned for parts of Marshall County

Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative announced Thursday a planned power outage affecting the Draffenvile and Palma Substations in Marshall County.

The outage is scheduled to begin at 10:00 pm Sunday and is expected to conclude no later than 7:00 am on Monday.

The outage will allow Big Rivers Electric Corporation to perform necessary maintenance on a tie switch that connects multiple substations.

Approximately 800 members will be affected during this time.
