Paducah school resource officer gets national award

A Paducah Police officer along with her dog will receive a national award at a ceremony in July.

According to the National Association of School Resource Officers, Officer Gretchen Morgan and her dog, Rizzoli, will be presented with the Safety and Support Companion Award.

The organization presents the award to a school resource officer and the officer’s animal companion who make a significant positive contribution to schools.

Morgan will receive award on July 15 in Phoenix, Arizona at the National School Safety Conference.
