New Lone Oak Road traffic lights to be activated tonight

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet delayed Wednesday's planned activation of the new traffic signals along Lone Oak Road to this evening.

The new signal at the intersection with North Friendship Road and Lakeview Drive is expected to go into service around 8 o'clock tonight.  

Once the new signal is placed into service, the old signal heads and support system will be removed.

The new signals are aligned specifically for the additional turn lanes that were added as part of the complete redesign of the new North Friendship/Lakeview intersection.
