Murray traffic stop turns to drug charges for Cadiz man

A Cadiz man was arrested for several drug charges following a traffic stop in Murray on Sunday.

Murray police said they searched a vehicle following a traffic stop Sunday night and allegedly found multiple narcotics and other illegal items including cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana. They also reportedly found a firearm.  

The driver of the vehicle, 48-year-old Michael Zimmerman, was arrested and lodged in the Calloway County jail.

Zimmerman was charged with possession of a controlled substance, trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, failure to maintain required insurane, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
