Paducah Police questioned a man about a possible road rage incident that may have contributed to a seven-vehicle crash on Friday.

Police said there was a minor hit-and-run collision Friday night between two vehicles at 22nd and Monroe Streets.

Police said the driver who hit the other vehicle allegedly got out of his car with a handgun and fired a shot into the air. According to the driver whose vehicle was hit, he then got back into his car and drove off.

The driver whose vehicle was hit called 911 and continued to follow the other driver. Both were traveling at high speeds when they passed an officer on Park Avenue.

Allegedly the driver who hit the vehicle ran a red light at 32nd and Park Avenue, and caused a seven-car crash.

Police said no one was injured in the crash, and the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle was taken into custody.
