Month-long drug investigation nets three in Cadiz

A man and two women have been charged in connection to a month-long drug investigation in Trigg County.

According to Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree, investigators searched a home on West End Street in Cadiz that uncovered stashes of methamphetamine, marijuana, guns, and several types of prescription medications. Three individuals, Chris Smith, Chandra Whetstine, and Ashley Combs, were arrested as a result. 

Smith and Whetstine were both charged with trafficking in methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school. They were also charged with possession of meth and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. Smith faces additional charges of possession of marijuana and prescription medications not in a proper container.

Combs was charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
