Attorneys James Mills and Jenny Hines move on to the general election in their bids to join the District Court bench in McCracken County.

Hines is a partner with the firm of Boehl, Stopher, and Graves. She has also served as an attorney with the Kentucky Court of Appeals.

Mills has been the First Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney and a teacher of criminal justice at WKCTC. He was recently sworn in on an interim basis to that seat on the bench, appointed by Governor Beshear.

Hines was the top vote-getter in the race collecting 2,999 votes to 2,776 for Mills. Craig Newbern received 1,232 votes and Scott Marcum collected 660.
