One driver was hurt when wet pavement contributed to a rear-end collision in Paducah.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded just after 8:30 am to the intersection of Blandville Road (US Hwy. 62) and McCracken Boulevard, near the Commerce Park.

Deputies say 51-year-old Deborah Elliot of Fancy Farm was eastbound and stopped in the road at the intersection, when her vehicle was struck from behind. The other driver, 56-year-old Donald Garrett of Cunningham, told deputies he crested the hill and saw Elliot's vehicle stopped in the road. He said when he applied the brakes, his vehicle went into a skid before striking the other vehicle.

Elliot was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
