A Paducah woman has been arrested on burglary and forgery charges, after police say she stole a check from someone after being invited into their home.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says deputies got several calls over the past week about a woman going door to door in the Lone Oak area, asking for money.

Deputies said someone invited the the woman, later identified as 25-year-old Linzee Mills, into a home and gave her money. While inside the home, Mills reportedly stole a check belonging to the victim, forged the check and attempted to cash it at a local bank.

Mills was arrested and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail on charges of second degree burglary and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
