Vehicle Fire Closes Portion of Pkwy on Thursday

A vehicle belonging to Waste Path Services of Calvert City caught fire early Thursday afternoon in Marshall County. closing the northbound lanes of the Purchase Parkway between Benton and Calvert City for more than four hours. 

The fire broke out around 1:00 Thursday afternoon. A spokesperson for Waste Path says no employees were injured as a result of the fire, and added that it's too early to say what caused the blaze.
