Two People Injured When Car Hits House

PADUCAH, KY - Two Paducah residents were hurt when their vehicle drove into an abandoned home.

McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies were called to 601 Berger Road at 3:48 am. they found that 22-year-old Matthew T. Morgan was driving a minivan on Oaks Street and did not brake in time to stop at the intersection with Berger Road. The van crossed Berger Road, struck the house at 601 Berger Road, and stopped inside.

It was determined that the home was completely empty, and that alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident. The investigation continues and charges are pending.

Morgan and his passenger, 22-year-old Jessica Fowler, were taken to Western Baptist Hospital for treatment of injuries they received. Fowler was treated and released.
