On Tuesday, deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office say they performed a traffic stop on a vehicle after noticing it driving recklessly along I-24. Additionally, deputies say the temporary tag on the vehicle appeared to be altered and wasn't legible.
After speaking with the two men inside, deputies say it was determined that the passenger, 41-year-old Randall Baker of Glendale Arkansas, had an active felony warrant out of Hopkins County.
The driver, 38-year-old Bradley Stevenson of Dawson Springs, reportedly consented to a search of his vehicle. Deputies say the search revealed a meth pipe with methamphetamine residue in it. They also reportedly located several hydrocodone pills in the vehicle.
Stevenson and Baker were arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
Baker is charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and a bench warrant for drug charges.
Stevenson is charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone), careless driving, following a vehicle too closely, and license plate not legible.
