A Kevil man and a teen were charged with drug and other offenses after a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle shortly after 10 a.m. at the intersection of Benton Road and Silk Tree Drive.

The driver, 21-year-old James Robinson of Kevil, was determined to be under the influence of a substance. Deputies said Robinson was also driving with a suspended license.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies reportedly found suspected drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and methamphetamine.

Robinson was arrested on charges of driving on suspended license, first-offense DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of a methamphetamine, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

A 17-year-old passenger was cited for tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and possession of methamphetamine.
