A traffic stop in McCracken County Tuesday led to drug charges for two people.
Tuesday morning, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle on Bridge Street for an alleged traffic violation.
While speaking with the driver, 49-year-old Howard E. Swenney of Paducah, detectives reportedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
During a search, Swenney was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana, while the passenger, 29-year-old Shea L. Reeves, was reportedly in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Swenney was issued a court citation and released.
Reeves was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
