Two employees at a local restaurant are charged with stealing a gun and money from the business.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says the owner of Bob’s Drive-In on Bridge Street reported a theft Wednesday of a handgun and cash from his business.

Detectives said two employees at the business, 18-year-old Jonathan T. Johnson and 21-year-old Mark A. Lee, admitted to the theft. Johnson reportedly showed detectives where the stolen items were, and admitted he used some of the money to buy illegal drugs.

Detectives searched an apartment on Fisher Boulevard Wednesday and found the stolen gun in a mattress. They also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Lee at the time of his arrest.

Both suspects were booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail. Lee is charged with theft over $500, theft of a firearm, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Johnson is charged with theft over $500 and theft of a firearm.
