A Paducah man and a Metropolis woman were arrested at a Paducah hotel Wednesday evening on drug and other charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says drug division detectives got a tip that 22-year-old Clayton Ali was trafficking in large quantities of meth. Their investigation led them to the Comfort Inn in Paducah, where Ali and 38-year-old Crystal Anderson were staying.

Detectives said they found a meth pipe in the room, which Ali tried to hide in his underwear. They also seized more than 40 grams of meth, almost $10 thousand in cash, digital scales, counterfeit money and other items.

Both Ali and Anderson were arrested and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail. Ali is charged with meth trafficking, tampering with physical evidence, criminal possession of a forged instrument and possession of drug paraphernalia. Anderson was charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
