Train Derails Near Beltline in Paducah

A train has derailed in Paducah along Little Avenue near the Beltline.

Paducah Police confirm Little Avenue is closed at this time.  Paducah Fire Rescue is also on the scene.  

The City of Paducah's public information officer, Pam Spencer, tells West Kentucky Star the derailment happened at around 9:50 am Thursday.

Spencer said the derailment involved nine empty flat rail cars, and poses no danger to the public.
