A Paducah man was arrested on drug charges Thursday night after a traffic stop.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, a deputy pulled over a vehicle on Irvin Cobb Drive near Brown Street for a traffic violation. While the vehicle was stopped, a K-9 officer was deployed and alerted the possibility of drugs in the vehicle.

A probable cause search was conducted, which led to the seizure of 6.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia typically used in trafficking.

The driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Kenneth Bledsoe, was arrested and charged with careless driving, no registration, driving on a suspended license, trafficking in more than two grams of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bledsoe was taken to McCracken County Jail.
