A Paducah man was arrested on drug charges Thursday night following a traffic stop.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies conducted a traffic stop on Wayne Sullivan Drive. During the stop, deputies said they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the car.

During a search, deputies reportedly found 2.4 ounces of marijuana, along with  drug paraphernalia and $1,650 cash, which is believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.

Twenty-three-year-old Travon Jones, of Paducah, was arrested on charges of trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and rear license not illuminated.

He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
