Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A traffic stop Friday afternoon led to theft and drug charges for a Boaz woman.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a car that had a stolen Kentucky license plate displayed on the rear of the vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle, deputies identified the driver as 20-year-old Kaitlyn Howard.

When deputies searched the vehicle, they allegedly found methamphetamine in Howard’s purse. She was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Jail.

Howard was charged with possession of meth, theft of motor vehicle registration plate, license to be in possession, failure to produce insurance card and no registration plates.
