Traffic Stop Leads to Man's Arrest on Drug Charges

A traffic stop early Saturday morning in McCracken County led to the arrest of a Paducah man on drug charges.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a car for traffic violations on Hovekamp Road. During the course of the investigation, deputies determined that the driver, 43-year-old Kevin Peck of Paducah, was in possession of illicit drugs.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies found suspected marijuana along with a glass smoking pipe and a set of digital scales, which both contained suspected methamphetamine. Other items of drug paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle. 

Peck was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple traffic violations. He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
