A call from a concerned citizen led to the arrest of a Paducah man Monday morning on various charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says a deputy responded at around 2 a.m. to a welfare check request at the Paducah Athletic Club parking lot. The caller told deputies 25-year-old Zachary Brown of Paducah had made statements about colliding with a bridge in another county. While the deputy was enroute, a second 911 call came in from a concerned citizen about Brown driving recklessly in the parking lot of the PAC.

During the investigation, Brown was reportedly found to be under the influence of drugs, and was found with methamphetamine, marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said that while being placed under arrest, Brown resisted. After a brief struggle, Brown was taken into custody without further incident.  He was treated for minor injuries and booked into McCracken Regional Jail.

Brown was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, resisting arrest, 1st degree wanton endangerment, possession of an open alcohol container, and menacing.
