Three people were arrested on drug and gun charges in Paducah Friday afternoon following the execution of a search warrant.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says they obtained a search warrant for a home in the 1100 block of Oaks Road after they had received numerous complaints over the last several months regarding illegal drug and firearm activity at the home.

Detectives and deputies went to the home Friday afternoon where they located three residents, 23-year-old Hakim Bowles, 26-year-old Sarah Taber, and 43-year-old David Austin.

During a search of the home detectives reportedly found methamphetamine, marijuana, and items of drug paraphernalia in Austin's bedroom.

A loaded 9mm semi-automatic rifle was located in Bowles' and Taber's bedroom. Both individuals are convicted felons and prohibited from possessing firearms. Bowles was on parole and Taber was on probation for unrelated offenses at the time of the incident.

Austin is being charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brooks and Taber are charged wirh possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

All three were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
