Three new officers in the Paducah police department were sworn in Tuesday evening during the Paducah City Commission meeting at City Hall.

Danny Slack, Conrad Gholson and Nicholas Rolens were officially sworn in by McCracken Circuit Judge Tim Kaltenbach.

The three began work at the police department on Nov. 5. They will attend the Law Enforcement Basic Training Academy before hitting the street with a police training officer.

Slack is a 24-year-old native of Louisiana and comes to Paducah from the Pasadena, TX, police department. He has a bachelors degree from East Texas Baptist University. He and his wife, Casandra, have one son. They moved to Paducah to be closer to her family.

Gholson is a 23-year-old who graduated from Lone Oak High School in 2011. He has an associates degree from West Kentucky Community and Technical College, and is not married.

Rolens is a 23-year-old graduate of Lone Oak High School in 2010. He also has an associates degree from WKCTC. He and his wife, Jamie, have one daughter.
