A Graves County woman died after a head-on collision in Paducah on Monday.

According to the Paducah Police Department, 26-year-old Alexandar Scott of Mayfield was driving in the inside lane of Irvin Cobb Drive and swerved left into oncoming traffic to avoid hitting another vehicle in the rear. They said his truck hit a vehicle driven by 79-year-old Clarence Roddy of Symsonia head-on.

Both drivers were taken to Baptist Health Paducah, along with Roddy’s wife, 76-year-old Florence Roddy. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

Irvin Cobb Drive was closed for about two hours near Broad Street.
