Suspicious Vehicle Leads to Drug Charges

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A suspicious vehicle led to drug charges for two Livingston County women Sunday night.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department reports that at approximately 11:20 pm, deputies observed a suspicious vehicle sitting in a vacant parking lot on Old Mayfield Road. Deputies said there were three people inside the car, 18-year-old Jessica Hosick, of Smithland, 18-year-old Melanie Farmer, of Grand Rivers and a 17-year-old male juvenile.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies allegedly found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia items. Hosick and Farmer were arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail. The juvenile was not charged and was later released to family members. 

Hosick and Farmer were each charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to deputies, Farmer was currently out on bond for a February, 2018 charge of possession of methamphetamine.
