Four Paducah residents were arrested on the city's south side Wednesday afternoon on drug charges.

Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department had received complaints of possible drug activity at a home on Kinkead Street, and were conducting surveillance. They stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation after it left the home, and a subsequent search of the rental vehicle reportedly led to the seizure of 25 bags of synthetic marijuana and $789 in suspected proceeds from drug sales.

The driver, 30-year-old Antonio Smith, was arrested on trafficking charges. Detectives say he was on federal supervision at the time of his arrest for previous drug offenses.

Detectives then executed a search warrant at the home, and spotted a man running away with a backpack. The man was caught and identified as 19-year-old Jordan Ligon, and a search of him and the backpack led to discovery of methamphetamine, syringes and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on possession charges and on two outstanding warrants.

Two women were inside the home, 25-year-old Audrionna Wiggins and 20-year-old Courtney Windsor. They were arrested for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. Detectives say Windsor was arrested last month on similar charges.

All four people were taken to the McCracken County Jail.
