Superior Care Nursing & Rehabilitation continues its support of Lourdes Foundation by donating to the hospital’s nursing education program. The money will be used to purchase simulation manikins.

“Simulation manikins are the perfect training tool for our staff to practice their skills,” says Sarah Hamilton, Lourdes Clinical Nurse Educator. “Each manikin is portable and can be taken to the care setting where staff work allowing them to apply real life scenarios while in an environment in which they are comfortable.”

A manikin can also help health care professionals learn to safely administer medications and to treat patients suffering from heart failure, a blocked airway, or massive blood loss.

“Lourdes Foundation is so grateful to Superior Care Nursing & Rehabilitation for their dedication and support of our healing ministry,” says Jessica Toren, Lourdes Foundation President. “Their continued assistance is helping us build healthier communities by providing support for advanced technology and other projects and services that enhance patient care. We’re also thankful for our Lourdes Auxiliary who saw the importance of continued nursing education and matched Superior Care’s grant.”
