Stolen firearms have been recovered in a theft investigation that has already led to the arrests of two western Kentuckians in Louisiana.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says detectives have been working with detectives from the Jackson, Tennessee Police Department and Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, Sheriff’s Office, since the arrests last week of Sarah Young of Ledbetter and 31-year-old Johnathan Coates of West Paducah. They face charges related to the theft of a vehicle and guns from a home on Bethel Church Road on December 1.

Based on information shared between the agencies, Jackson Police Detectives were able to recover three stolen firearms related to this case.

Detectives also learned that the McCracken County victim had three weapons stolen instead of four, which was initially reported. This means all of the victim's property has been recovered.

McCracken County Sheriff's Department thanked law enforcement from Louisiana and Tennessee for their cooperation and assistance in solving the case.
