South Friendship Road Crash Injures Benton Man

A Benton man was hurt Friday afternoon in a rollover crash on South Friendship Road.

McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies responded at 2 pm to a crash on South Friendship Road near Yopp Lane. Deputies said that during their investigation they learned 25-year-old Brandon McCoy was driving north on South Friendship Road when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve and dropped off the left shoulder of the road. McCoy then overcorrected and re-entered the roadway, causing his vehicle to overturn.

McCoy was trapped inside the vehicle and was extricated by Lone Oak Fire Department. 

South Friendship Road was closed for about two hours.
