South Carolina Man Injured in US 60 Wreck

A South Carolina man was injured following an accident on US Hwy 60 Tuesday afternoon.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, at around 6 P.M. deputies responded to the intersection of Hwy 60 and Cairo Road for a two vehicle accident.

After deputies arrived, their investigation determined that Paul Bedwell of Paducah was westbound on Hwy 60 when he attempted to make a left turn onto Cairo Road. Bedwell had failed to see another vehicle, driven by Mankin Lam of South Carolina, traveling eastbound on Hwy 60.

Lam struck Bedwell's car and after the collision, deputies said Lam could not recall anything after the accident.

Lam was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
