A McCracken County man was injured early Saturday in a single-vehicle accident.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded just after 3:30 am to the 7600 block of Clinton Road. They determined that 22-year-old James Farmer of Boaz was driving south on Clinton Road when he says he swerved to miss a deer in the road. His vehicle left the right side of the road and hit a tree.

Farmer was taken by a private vehicle to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Randy's Wrecker Service assisted deputies at the scene.
