Reidland Road Crash Injures Salem Woman

A Salem woman was injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash on Reidland Road.

Shortly before 4:30 pm Tuesday, McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to an injury accident on Reidland Road in the area of Martin Drive. Police said 40-year-old Marcella Jackson, of Paducah was eastbound on Reidland Road when she noticed a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Linda Lawson, of Hampton stopped in the road ahead. Police said Jackson told them she was unable to stop, and struck Lawson's vehicle.

Lawson's passenger, 77-year-old Jacqueline Williams, of Salem, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Reidland Road was slowed to one lane traffic for approximately 45 minutes while to collision was investigated. Reidland Fire Department and Mercy EMS assisted at the scene.
