Authorities are looking for a woman they say tried to pay with counterfeit money at a southside Paducah business.

The Paducah Police Department says a clerk at Kroger fuel pumps told officers a woman gave her a hundred-dollar bill to pay for gasoline. The woman reportedly left in a red over white or silver long wheel base pickup when the clerk recognized the bill as counterfeit.

Witnesses described the woman as white, wearing a dark zip-up jacket and grey hoodie.

Officers are asking anyone with information to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550, or report tips anonymously through West Kentucky Crime Stoppers by texting WKY and your tip to 847411.
