Police Respond to Shot Fired at Mercy Health

Gunshots were reported Thursday morning at a Paducah hospital.

The Paducah Police Department said the scene was secure at 11:49 am, after reports came in about a shooting at Mercy Health.

Chief Brian Laird says the gunshot appears to have been self-inflicted, and there was no active shooter situation.

No other details have been made available about the incident.
