Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect in Sunday's shooting in Kevil that left a woman injured.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the Louisville Metro Police Department Crime Scene Unit completed a composite sketch of the suspect Tuesday morning. The sheriff's department is still actively searching for the suspect, described as a black male, 6’0 to 6’1, thin build with dreadlocks.  They are still asking for any other witnesses to contact them.

Deputies responded to a home on Michelle Court early Sunday morning and found the female resident with multiple gunshot wounds. The woman told police that she had awakened to a black man with dreadlocks inside her home. The woman told police the man asked her for Tylenol, went to her bathroom, and then shot her as she attempted to walk him back outside. The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her gunshot wounds.

Police have been searching for the suspect since the shooting. If anyone has information regarding the shooting or the identity of the suspect depicted in the sketch, call the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department at 270-444-4719 or CrimeStoppers at 270-443-8355.
