A report of a suspicious person on Paducah's south side led to a Missouri man's arrest on a parole violation and an additional charge.

Paducah Police officers were called to the McDonald's restaurant on Clarks River Road at 3:15 am Thursday, and spoke to the man, 24-year-old Terence M. Davis of St. Louis. Police say he told them he had been in an accident a few days before while driving a vehicle loaned to him by a friend in Georgia.

Police learned that Davis was wanted in Missouri for a parole violation, so he was arrested. Officers say a search of his backpack led to discovery of a license plate from Georgia, and a computer check determined the vehicle had been reported stolen. Police say the vehicle was found at a local wrecker service. It had reportedly been impounded after an August 1 wreck in McCracken County.

Davis was also charged with receiving stolen property and was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
