According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was found around 7 pm Thursday at a home off North Friendship Road. Two persons of interest were located and identified at the home. However, investigators received conflicting accounts as to who was driving the vehicle at the time it struck the bicyclist, and police say both are refusing to cooperate with the investigation.
The vehicle was impounded and police plan to examine the vehicle and other electronic devices seized. The man struck by the vehicle, 35-year-old Jason Carnine of Paducah, remains in serious condition at a local hospital.
The case remains under investigation.
