According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, at approximately 8:00 am Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to Energy Fitness on New Holt road for a vehicle pedestrian accident on the parking lot. Deputies say 38-year-old Stephanie Robinson from Paducah was driving in the parking lot. As Robinson was about to turn into a parking spot, deputies say she looked forward again she saw 75-year-old Leroy Latta of Paducah had just stepped out from between two parked cars and was headed toward the business.
Deputies say Robinson struck Latta with the front of her car, causing him to fall to the ground and strike his head.
Latta was transported to Baptist Health by ambulance to receive treatment for what appeared to by minor injuries.
