Park Avenue Crash Sends Two to Hospital

Two people were injured in a single-car crash on Park Avenue Tuesday morning.

Paducah Police report that 71-year-old C.R. Farrington of Thompsonville, IL, was driving east on Park Avenue, approaching Cruse Avenue, when he began coughing and briefly blacked out.

Farrington's car snapped a utility pole, hit a tree and overturned, coming to rest on the passenger side.

Farrington and his passenger, 75-year-old Brenda McCluskie of West Frankfort, IL, were taken to Baptist Health for treatment of their injuries.
