A Paducah woman has pleaded guilty to prostitution charges, after an undercover police investigation.

According to police, over the past two weeks the McCracken County Sheriff’s department received tips about a Paducah woman who was allegedly involved in prostitution. On Tuesday, an undercover deputy contacted the woman, later identified as Melanie Brock.

Police said Brock agreed to perform sex acts in return for money. They arrested Brock near the intersection of Locust and Bridge Streets in Paducah.

In addition to the prostitution charges, Brock was arrested on outstanding warrants for violating probation on a prior cocaine charge. She was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Brock pled guilty to the prostitution charge on Wednesday and was sentenced to 14 days in jail.
