A Paducah woman has been arrested after McCracken County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday received a tip of alleged methamphetamine trafficking .

The woman, 31-year-old Ashley Fugate, was taken into custody around noon after officers conducted a traffic stop and a K9 officer detected something in her vehicle.

Fugate was reportedly found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe that contained methamphetamine, that police say Fugate concealed in a body cavity. Officers say she was on felony probation stemming from a meth trafficking conviction in Marshall County in 2010 at the time of her arrest.

Fugate was taken to the McCracken Regional Jail on possession charges, as well as tampering with physical evidence.
