A Paducah teen has been taken into custody after reports of terroristic threatening at Paducah Tilghman High School.

According to the Paducah Police Department, on Wednesday police were contacted by school officials in regards to a student that allegedly had a "kill list", and intended to act on it Thursday.

Detectives spoke with the 14-year-old student and his father. The student reportedly told officers that the list wasn't real, but admitted that he had threatened to bring a gun to school.

The teen was taken to the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.
